Delete pages from a PDF

Blank pages from a duplex scan, a fax cover sheet, an internal notes page that shouldn't go to the client. Name the pages to remove and download what's left. Because this runs on your machine, the pages you're removing are never transmitted anywhere — which rather matters when the reason for removing them is that they're confidential.

How to use it

  1. Choose your PDF file.
  2. Enter the pages to delete, for example 1,4,9-11.
  3. Click Delete pages and download the result.

Questions

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. This page contains the whole tool — the JavaScript that does the work runs inside your browser tab, on your own machine. There is no server to upload to. You can confirm it yourself: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and run the tool. You will not see your file go anywhere. You can also disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it will still work.

Is the deleted content really gone from the file?

Yes. A new document is built from the pages you kept, so the removed pages aren't hidden in the output — they were never written to it. This is not the same as redacting text on a page you keep, which is a different job.

Can I keep pages instead of deleting them?

Use Split a PDF and give it a page range — that keeps what you name rather than removing it. Same result, whichever way round is less typing.
